Vision and Mission

Clayton Construction is committed to conducting it's operations in a manner that will protect the Health & Safety of their employees, contractors and the public. To provide a safe and accident free workplace,
Clayton will:

  • Intergrate Health and Safety into all aspects of Clayton Construction
  • Comply with government regulations, industry guidelines and company policies and procedures in the planning, design and operations of Clayton Construction equipment and facilities.
  • Provide appropriate training and equipment to Clayton Construction Employees, enhancing their ability to recognize hazards and minimize risk during company operations;
  • Require contractors working for Clayton Construction to be adequately supervised, trained and competent in the duties they perform; and
  • Provide prompt & effective response to any emergency situation

Managers and supervisors are responsible for identifying safety needs, communicating safety hazards, investigating hazardous conditions and accidents, providing training and ensuring equipment is properly maintained.

Employees share the responsibility to work in a manner that will safeguard themselves with equal concern for co-workers, contractors and the public.

COMPANY HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

Clayton Construction Co. Ltd. Is committed to conducting business in a manner that safeguards its employees and the public, as well as protecting the environment. The personal health and safety of each employee is of primary importance, and prevention of occupational injury and illness will be given priority.

Management is responsible to provide leadership and training to employees. Hazards that have been reported will be inspected by the supervisory staff and will be made safe by eliminating or controlling the hazard.

Management and supervisors will recognize employees for their safe work achievements; however, disciplinary action will be taken if anyone knowingly violates company policy and procedures.

Supervisors are responsible to train employees to a competent level and provide ongoing support. Supervisors will shut down work sites that have been identified as imminently dangerous to health or life and made safe before work continues.

All employees are responsible to participate in our companies health and safety program and are expected to identify, eliminate or control hazards. Personal protective work wear will be worn by all employees. Employees shall be alert to their safety as well as that of their co-workers and will practice and promote safe work habits while performing their jobs in accordance with established processes. Employees shall not conduct work that is imminently dangerous to health or life.

Clayton Construction Co. Ltd. Will ensure that all operations comply with provincial, municipal and local regulations and that all employees are familiar with the legislation as it relates to them and their work processes.
